This describes how BookDriveSlot.in actually handles your information today. It's a starting point, not a substitute for legal review before you rely on it for compliance purposes.
What we collect
When you book a test drive, we collect your name, phone number, email address, the car and time slot you've chosen, and — to confirm you're eligible to test drive the vehicle — a photo of your registration certificate (RC) and driving licence (DL). For a home test drive, we also collect the address you'd like the car brought to.
Why we collect it
This information exists solely to let a dealership confirm and carry out your test drive — nothing else. We don't sell cars ourselves, and we don't use your data for anything beyond coordinating that one booking and, if you agree, following up about it.
Who can see it
Your RC and driving licence are visible only to the specific dealership assigned to your booking, and only for as long as needed to verify your booking — access is granted through a short-lived, single-use link rather than a public file. BookDriveSlot staff can also view booking details to help resolve support requests or investigate a reported issue (for example, a dealer flagging a suspicious document). We do not sell, rent, or otherwise share your personal information with advertisers or unrelated third parties.
How long we keep it
We keep booking records to maintain a history between you and dealerships, and to keep our no-show/fake-document safeguards meaningful. If you'd like your data reviewed or removed, contact us using the details below and we'll act on it.
