This describes how BookTestDrive.in actually handles your information today. It's a starting point, not a substitute for legal review before you rely on it for compliance purposes.
What we collect
When you book a test drive, we collect your name, phone number, email address, the car and time slot you've chosen, and — to confirm you're eligible to test drive the vehicle — a photo of your registration certificate (RC) and driving licence (DL). For a home test drive, we also collect the address you'd like the car brought to.
Why we collect it
This information exists solely to let a dealership confirm and carry out your test drive — nothing else. We don't sell cars ourselves, and we don't use your data for anything beyond coordinating that one booking and, if you agree, following up about it.
Who can see it
Your RC and driving licence are visible only to the specific dealership assigned to your booking, and only for as long as needed to verify your booking — access is granted through a short-lived, single-use link rather than a public file. BookTestDrive staff can also view booking details to help resolve support requests or investigate a reported issue (for example, a dealer flagging a suspicious document). We do not sell or rent your booking details — name, phone, documents — to advertisers or unrelated third parties; see "Analytics and advertising" below for the separate, narrower data Google collects through cookies on this site.
Analytics and advertising
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use this site, and may show ads through Google AdSense. Both use cookies and similar technologies, and can collect information such as your IP address, device type, and the pages you view here — separately from the booking details above, and handled under Google's own privacy policy, not ours. If ads are shown, Google and its partners may use this data to personalise them based on your activity on this and other sites. You can review or opt out of personalised advertising at any time through Google's Ads Settings.
How long we keep it
We keep booking records to maintain a history between you and dealerships, and to keep our no-show/fake-document safeguards meaningful. If you'd like your data reviewed or removed, contact us using the details below and we'll act on it.
