Why do you need my RC and driving licence for every test drive?
BookDriveSlot doesn't charge booking fees or run credit checks, so documents are how we keep the process genuine — for both mass-market and luxury cars alike.
Why isn't my test drive confirmed instantly?
Dealerships confirm every slot against their actual car and staff availability. Most requests are confirmed within 0–2 hours during business hours; requests made after 5 PM are confirmed the next working day. If your exact time isn't available, the dealer can offer you a nearby slot instead of declining outright.
What's the difference between a showroom and a home test drive?
Both need the dealer to confirm availability first. A home test drive additionally sends the car to your address, so the dealer also takes one extra look at your uploaded RC and licence before confirming.
What happens to my uploaded documents afterwards?
Your RC and driving licence are visible only to the dealership assigned to your booking, used solely to verify eligibility for that test drive, and are not shared with anyone else.
Is BookDriveSlot a place to compare cars or read reviews?
No — BookDriveSlot exists purely to book a test drive slot or download a brochure. For specifications, comparisons and reviews, that's what CompareAuto.in is for.
